The Law Office of barrister Mariusz Lewandowski was established in 2012. The creation of a Law Office was the result of the experience gathered by barrister Mariusz Lewandowski during his training at the Kujawsko – Pomorska Izba Adwokacka (Solicitors Regulation Authority) in the period 2008 – 2012, a full time job at nationally renowned Law Offices and a barrister examination passed on the first position in the Court of Appeal in Gdańsk.

The Law Office is open to unconventional solutions and ready to fulfil the requirements of demanding Clients. We are fully involved in providing legal support to our Clients. The main ideas of the Law Office activity are the legal interest of the Client and keeping the highest professional standards.

Barrister Mariusz Lewandowski is a member of the Human Rights Commission at the Naczelna Radza Adwokacka (Supreme Bar Council) in Warsaw. It focuses its interventions on support for the most needy and ensures respecting human rights in the Republic of Poland. He also participates in pro publico programmes realized by non-governmental organizations including Polskie Towarzystwo Prawa Antydyskryminacyjnego (Polish Association of Anti‑discriminatory Law) and presents his views in professional law journals, commenting on new regulations, legal solutions and achievements of judicature.

Activity

Barrister Mariusz Lewandowski is a student of doctoral courses within the field of law at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, as a part of which he conducts classes at the Chair of Human Rights of Nicolaus Copernicus University. Barrister Mariusz Lewandowski cooperates with the Empowering Children Foundation – participating in conferences, issuing opinions on legal acts related to the legal situation of children in Poland.

Pro bono

The activity of the Law Office is grounded on the belief that the barristers’ duty is to help the needy and to fulfil in a civil society a particular mission – the mission of protecting human rights and liberties as well as the mission of cooperating with other entities of public life in the fields of creation and execution of law.

The Law Office participates actively in “pro bono” programmes aimed at providing legal aid and professional legal support for social groups which are most exposed to violating their rights and liberties.

Representatives of the Law Office participate in the days of free legal aid, an action organized by the Supreme Bar Council. The Law Office gives an opportunity for students and graduates of administration and law studies to undergo a training or internship program under the guidance of professionals.

What is more, representatives of the Law Office participate in scientific conferences focusing on categories concerning human rights in order to stimulate the society’s legal conscience and to draw its attention to the most significant systemic problems of the domestic legal framework.

Barrister Mariusz Lewandowski is an established member of the Human Rights Commission at the Naczelna Radza Adwokacka (Supreme Bar Council), which serves as a representative and coordinator of Polish Bar in the mission of defending human rights. The Commission expresses its opinion in the most important issues concerning human rights and liberties in proceedings before the Constitutional Tribunal and before the supreme government bodies. It organizes scientific conferences and prepares legal opinions on socially conscious issues.

Barrister Mariusz Lewandowski is the author of numerous articles focusing on the problem of human rights and liberties, in which he elaborates on significant social issues and discusses the actions of government institutions in this area.
